RE:WORK FIELD GUIDE · UPDATED SEPTEMBER 25, 2026

Corporate volunteering and sponsorship with a Chicago nonprofit.

A useful corporate partnership connects your company’s resources and professional experience with work that matters to jobseekers. Start with a clear contribution and a scope your team can support.

01 / PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

Choose how your company can contribute.

01

Employee involvement

Bring professional experience into mock interviews, mentoring, workshops, and outreach practice.

02

Sponsorship

Help sustain free career learning, coaching, community coordination, and MissionXP.

03

Optional hiring

When you have a suitable opening, discuss ways to meet candidates and share useful interview feedback. Partnership does not require a hire.

02 / PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

Define the work before choosing a headline metric.

Agree on the intended audience, activity, employee time, financial commitment, period, and point of contact. Formal annual re:WORK corporate partnerships start at $1,000; the current partnership page explains levels and participation.

Where employer giving or matching is involved, confirm the employer’s rules. A potential matching gift is not the same as confirmed funding.

03 / PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

Report progress with context.

MissionXP helps re:WORK organize learning, activity, relationships, and opportunities. Partner reporting should reflect the agreed scope and the records available. Participation, relationship development, and employment outcomes are different measures.

The public evidence snapshot reports 1,000+ people supported, 600+ participants with a documented hired outcome, and 35+ cohorts represented through September 2026. Records remain incomplete; those figures are not a placement rate or evidence that a particular donation caused an offer.

Review the evidence definitions.

04 / PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

Begin with a practical conversation.

Tell us your team’s interests, availability, and funding priorities. We can explore a contribution without requiring a finished plan or an open role.

Start a partnership conversation or email Shelton at re:WORK.

YOUR NEXT STEP

Explore a contribution that fits.

Discuss employee involvement, sponsorship, or a practical way to support career access. Hiring is optional.
