Rodney Cohns: “I am from a small town right outside of Chicago, Evanston. I’ve worked at Amazon for three months because I had to pay the bills. I had to keep things going.

“And I was working extremely—I was working extremely hard. I got children, I got bills, I need to get something going. I’m like, what do I gotta lose? Let me go ahead and give re:WORK a shot.

“Maybe about three weeks in, I didn’t even get maybe halfway, you know, through the program. I was offered a job at [company name unclear]. I’m making more money than I ever made. I’m in a better position. I just bought a house.

“Like, things are good. I’m able to put my [unclear] through college. Sales has changed my life. re:WORK has helped change my life.”

Visual description: Rodney speaks outdoors beside a table, with palms and the ocean behind him. Text cards introduce the story as an example of impact, invite support, and credit Salesforce, Zscaler, LinkedIn, HireVue, and Sprout Social for investing in opportunities. The video closes with “Be part of the change” and the re:WORK TRAINING logo.

PROPOSED GROWTH PRIORITIES

Help fund
our next stage.

Interested in funding our next stage? Shared curriculum and technology can help us serve more people at a lower average cost. Growth still requires delivery and support funding; a future stipend fund would add direct participant assistance.

Explore six funding priorities

01 · PARTICIPANT ACCESS

Candidate Stipend Fund

Help build a fund to support participants financially while they train and pursue opportunities. Availability and eligibility would depend on secured funding and finalized program terms.

02 · TECHNOLOGY

Platform & Infrastructure

Invest in MissionXP engineering, data quality, and coaching tools to support more learners and make their activity and progress easier to understand.

03 · PROGRAM DELIVERY

Cohort Delivery

Help deliver additional cohorts with practical instruction, feedback, and community support. Delivery funding and participant stipends cover different needs.

04 · FUTURE PATHWAYS

Apprenticeship Expansion

Support planned employer onboarding and competency administration. Our Technical Sales Representative standards are registered with the U.S. Department of Labor; the full apprenticeship has not yet launched.

05 · LEARNING WHAT WORKS

Evidence & Evaluation

Support independent evaluation and stronger outcome measurement so we can assess what is working, where evidence is limited, and how to improve.

06 · FLEXIBLE FUNDING

Core Support

Give re:WORK flexibility to address the program needs that matter most as we grow, including the people and operations that keep training and community support available.

These priorities are proposed. Contact us before making a gift for a specific fund so we can agree on scope, budget, timing, and reporting.

What does my donation support?

Donations help sustain free career training, coaching, community support, MissionXP, and the people and operations behind the program. If you want to support a particular growth priority, contact us before giving so we can confirm the scope and terms.

Are participant stipends available now?

The Candidate Stipend Fund is a proposed priority for our next stage. It is not a stipend offer to current applicants. Availability, eligibility, and amounts will depend on secured funding and finalized program terms.

How do you track progress?

MissionXP records learning activity, outreach, professional relationships, and career milestones. Our public evidence page also draws on reconciled historical program records. We distinguish participation from employment outcomes and explain limitations. Reporting for a grant or dedicated initiative can be scoped together.

Does a gift guarantee someone will get a job?

No. A gift supports the training, tools, relationships, and follow-through that help people pursue opportunities. Hiring decisions remain with employers, and results vary by participant and circumstances.
