A sales strategy for your career

The Go To Market Career Academy is re:WORK TRAINING’s learning pathway for people building toward go-to-market careers. Business development and sales development—BDR and SDR work—provide the foundation. The skills also support paths such as customer success, account management, sales operations, and partnerships.

You learn to make your abilities visible, build trusted professional relationships, and manage a focused campaign from first research to a hiring conversation. Use the shared curriculum at your own pace in MissionXP with community support, or in a quarterly eight-week cohort with structured instruction, coaching, and peer learning.

  • Translate your previous experience into a clear LinkedIn profile, credible resume, and specific interview stories.
  • Research employers and professional contacts with a clear reason for choosing them.
  • Write relevant outreach, run useful informational interviews, and follow through on commitments.
  • Manage relationships and job opportunities with accurate CRM records in MissionXP.
  • Use discovery and MEDDPICC to understand business needs and how a hiring decision will be made.
  • Explain your work with evidence and agree on an appropriate next step.

One method. Three places to use it.

  • Practice through the community. Research professionals, contribute to conversations, and invite people to share their experience with re:WORK learners. Build evidence of your work and the trust that comes from following through.
  • Apply it to your own career campaign. Research target employers, communicate your value, develop relationships, and pursue suitable roles. Apply to good opportunities while building connections in parallel.
  • Carry it into the job. Connect the same research, discovery, communication, and relationship-management habits to the work you do after being hired.

Performance currency + relationship currency. Performance currency is demonstrated ability. Relationship currency is the trust you build with people who know how you work. Together, they strengthen your social capital.

AI can support research and writing, but your experience, judgment, and authentic voice remain the source. Check every fact and claim before sharing your work.

The complete learning sequence

The curriculum includes a kickoff and eight gates, organized into 33 modules and 61 video lessons. The videos total approximately 6 hours and 30 minutes. Assignments, reading, coaching, outreach, and professional conversations require additional time.

The stages below show the learning progression. They are not a promise that one gate equals one week. For participation expectations and the requirements to unlock later stages, read the Academy syllabus.

The seven required missions assess specific pieces of that work. Lesson completion and recorded activity also determine progress through MissionXP. Coaches and the Academy community help you make sense of the work and improve your approach.

Curriculum questions

Do I need a degree or sales experience?

No degree or previous sales experience is required to apply. The program looks for drive, coachability, and a willingness to do the work. Review the candidate page for the application process.

Is this only for BDR and SDR roles?

BDR and SDR skills provide the foundation. Research, communication, discovery, relationship building, and pipeline management also support other go-to-market career paths. Your resume and career campaign should reflect the role you are actually pursuing.

Is the curriculum the whole program?

The curriculum is the shared learning sequence for self-paced and cohort learners. Practical missions, feedback, community participation, and job-search activity sit alongside the videos. Quarterly eight-week cohorts add scheduled instruction, coaching, and peer learning. The syllabus explains participation and completion expectations.

Last updated September 25, 2026. This guide covers the shared MissionXP learning sequence. Self-paced learners set their learning schedule; staff confirm quarterly cohort placement, session details, and deadlines.
