START WITH WHAT YOU BRING

Your experience
has value.

Your next role starts with knowing what you bring—and who needs it.

Whether you’re changing careers, pursuing your first professional role, or making your next move, you need a way to reach the right people and show your value. Most re:WORK participants who land jobs enter sales; others use these transferable skills to pursue roles in other fields.

This could be a good fit if you’re ready to:

  • Build a focused strategy for the roles you want.
  • Practice, receive feedback, and revise your work.
  • Contribute to a community and keep showing up.
  • Research opportunities and build relationships with intention.

The program serves jobseekers across the U.S. The interest form asks about location and work authorization so the team can guide your next steps.

My name is Nevonce Mingo, and I'm based out of Jersey City, New Jersey. Before re:WORK, I was laid off from my previous job that I've been with for about two and a half years. So that's what made me transition into tech sales. I was already interested in the industry.

If I had to say one thing that was very unique about re:WORK TRAINING, I would say all honesty was the culture. Everyone was willing to help, and that was even some of the candidates that was looking to get a job themselves. Everyone was just one unit.

I would say to somebody that's on the fence of joining re:WORK, why not? You want a job, and you want to break into the tech sales industry and have that career, come get this work. And that's exactly what I did, and that's where I'm at now, in my position. I'm very grateful.

This is a good cause. This is a good tool, and this is creating a lot of careers for people. Can't thank re:WORK TRAINING enough. So regardless of who you are, come get this work.

BEFORE YOU TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Start here, then explore the syllabus for the full program expectations.

Why is the program free?

re:WORK TRAINING is a nonprofit supported by donors, foundations, and corporate partners. That support helps keep the Academy free for participants.

Do I need to be pursuing a sales role?

No. Sales is a common career path for our participants, but the Academy teaches a job-search approach you can apply across roles: research your market, communicate your value, build relationships, and manage your opportunities. This is career-search training; it does not replace the technical qualifications a particular role may require.

Do I need a degree or sales experience?

No degree or previous sales experience is required. Come ready to learn, practice, take feedback, and follow through.

When can I start, and how much time will I need?

You can start the remote, self-paced Academy in MissionXP today. Cohorts begin once per quarter and run for eight weeks. Self-paced learners set their own pace; cohort participants receive scheduling details from the team. Either path involves more than video time: plan for research, writing, missions, feedback, and professional conversations.

Can I move from self-paced learning into a cohort?

Yes, self-paced learners may be considered for a cohort based on their commitment to the process. Starting in MissionXP gives you a way to learn, contribute to the community, and show your work while cohort placement is considered.

What happens after I submit the interest form?

Check your email for next steps, including a short video assessment. The team will guide you through cohort consideration and, if selected, orientation. You can start the self-paced Academy in MissionXP while you wait; submitting the form does not confirm a cohort place.

Does completing the program guarantee a job?

No. We provide learning tools and a professional community, with structured coaching in the cohort experience. You are responsible for completing the work and pursuing opportunities. Employment and referral outcomes vary by participant, employer, and market conditions.

What equipment and tools will I use?

You’ll need internet access and a device that can play video, take screenshots, record a spoken response, and export a résumé as a PDF. The Academy uses MissionXP, LinkedIn, and a calendar. An AI writing tool is optional; your work must accurately reflect your own experience.
