What re:WORK is building

Updated September 2026. This page replaces a short 2025 overview. The original presentation remains available as a historical snapshot; the description below reflects our current direction.

Talent is everywhere. Social capital is not. re:WORK TRAINING is a Chicago nonprofit with a mission we continue to hold: “Building the Future of Workforce Development through the Power of Sales.” We use sales practice to help jobseekers research opportunities, communicate their value, build trusted professional relationships, and manage a career search with intention.

What the model connects

Our approach combines practical skills, professional relationships, and tools that make career activity visible. The Go To Market Career Academy teaches the habits behind a focused search. Volunteers and professional contacts can offer perspective, feedback, and connection. MissionXP, a tool created by re:WORK, helps participants organize jobs, contacts, activities, and next steps.

What is operating now

The free self-paced Academy is available in MissionXP, alongside quarterly eight-week cohorts. Separately, the U.S. Department of Labor registered re:WORK’s Technical Sales Representative apprenticeship standards in May 2026 (Registration No. 2026-IL-141496). The full registered apprenticeship has not yet launched and has not produced apprentice outcomes. Read the current program status and evidence.

How we talk about evidence

We distinguish documented activity, participant stories, validated outcomes, and future plans. A model can be promising without a claim that every outcome has been proven. Our Innovation & Evidence page explains the approach and its validation status.
