Despite being the most connected generation of all time, our communities are still struggling with the concept of understanding one another. The result is division based on race, culture, background, and economic status; things that people have little to no control over. This is especially true in the tech industry.
At re:work training we want individuals with non-traditional backgrounds to be able to take control of their future, to rework it into their vision of success. Our program aims to give each candidate an opportunity they may have otherwise lacked, along with the confidence and skills to seize it.
As each cohort crosses the divide together, their professional success has a positive ripple effect on their families, communities, and ultimately our great city, Chicago. The bonds formed during training create a lifelong network of helping hands, and takes us one step closer to a completely diverse ecosystem within the tech industry.
